Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions and EPS (Electronic Prescriptions)

EPS: Prescriptions can now be sent direct to your nominated Pharmacy, speak to your usual chemist to arrange this.

Patients on regular medication will be issued with a computerised slip.

To re order repeat medication patients can:-

  1. Use the online services. (Either the NHS app or SystemOnline)
  2. Tick clearly the items required on the computerised slip and drop this into the surgery.
  3. Post – With reply paid envelope.
  4. Via chemist with order and delivery system. (For dosette and vulnerable patients)

Medication orders are not taken over the phone and so we ask for patients who are unable to use online services to visit us in the surgery or ask family member/friend to order on their behalf.

Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) for your prescription to be processed. Please do not ask your GP to issue repeat prescriptions during your valuable consultation time, as clinical time is lost with your Doctor.

Prescription Exemption and Reduced Fees

Patients with certain medical conditions can get free NHS prescriptions if they hold a valid medical exemption certificate. Details of these conditions can be found at www.nhs.uk

To claim for medical exemption please ask at your pharmacy for an application form or collect one from our reception.
